Hillary lives in Jackson with her husband Mac and their children Sawyer and Miller and her step-son Henry. She owned a gift and lifestyle store, Bet The Ranch, which opened in 2008. She closed the doors to focus on her family. Her love of design made her store thrive and she has traveled near and far to find the most unique items to bring back to Jackson.
Hillary infuses vintage with western touches into everything she does and founded Pow Wow West in 2016 which includes event design for weddings, corporate, and private events as well as elevated gift boxes. One thing lead to another and she needed an extra set of hands…that’s when her sister Emily joined in the fun.
Because each of the girls brings something different to the table, it’s a great balance of design, business, and brainstorming. No strangers to hospitalities and being in the kitchen, they were witness to their mom and step-father opening the first microbrewery in the state of Wyoming in 1994, which was also the first non-smoking bar in Wyoming. To this day, Snake River Brewing Company is thriving even though they sold it nearly a decade ago. Hillary and Emily were empowered at a young age to have the guts to think big and follow a dream.
Today, Pow Wow West has expanded into a lifestyle journal which features a few of their favorite things in life: food, entertaining, design, and their families. On their website, powwowwest.com, you will find recipes both new and old, adventures of motherhood, and the beautiful weddings they have been a part of, as well as shopping for curated gift boxes and flower arrangements!
