Glenn Sturm started taking pictures as a young boy when his father, who was an Army officer, took him on a family trip to Paris. When Glenn got in the car, his parents gave him a camera. It was the highlight of his trip . As a result of this gift, Glenn has carried a camera with him around the world. Glenn is routinely asked why his pack is so big or so heavey. The reason is simple, he is afraid he will miss a picture. Glenn said he has been blessed during his life to see so many image that he thought were memorable or have remained special in his heart.
Glenn is now in his 9th year of continuous chemotherapy. He often describes his photography as an essential part of his cancer treatment. Photography brings Glenn great joy and an escape from being a patient. Giving back is a big part of who Glenn is, and it is with enthusiasm that he supports our community hospital. St. John’s Hospital Foundation is deeply grateful to Glenn for his extraordinary gift of art.
Glenn’s photographs are available for purchase. 100% of the proceeds will be directed to St. John’s Hospital Foundation to support new babies and their families at the St. John’s Birth Center. Prices are provided upon request.
